Trevor O'Sullivan

Trevor O'Sullivan

Trevor is a real bloke with an open heart. For 30 years he has continued to work in the construction industry and life is about running a team of builders in a tough man's world. During the 30 years he has realized through his own personal growth that something was missing and to fully experience life in a more focused enjoyable way he must respect and nourish the deeper understanding within himself. Now he has one foot in each world and combined with his instinctive spiritual skills and real life experiences which have shown him how to harness the power to create a life filled with productivity and ever increasing harmony and peace. Trevor is also a father, a Drum Maker, a Shaman, and a Spiritual Healer. He is passionate about sharing his wisdom and skills that he has received from the ancient masters and from his own life experiences. He has been initiated to carry on the ancient Sweat Lodge and Drum Making Medicine techniques.

Sweat Lodge

Trevor and Susan were both initiated to carry on the teachings and spread the healing wisdom given to them by grandfather Grey Wolf, a full blood Inuit Indian Elder and Tribal Healer from the Barren Straight in Alaska. Grey Wolf wished to share this wisdom with the world.

Trevor has been guided by Spirit to ‘Gather the Men’ in groups and through individual guidance and workshops to assist in understanding the negative aspects of masculine energy and bring in the positive and powerful masculine. Trevor understands the destructive and silent patterns of depression that so often go unspoken by men in today’s society. His teachings and experience are here to guide men to balance and happiness.

As keepers of the Lodge, we always honour grandfather Greywolf’s teachings. We give as much explanations as possible about the ceremony and purpose of the lodge before starting. We encourage a common sense approach. In the Lodge, cleansing and healing will be happening on a physical, emotional and spiritual level.

Preparation
Prayer Tie ceremony

In this ceremony we use six different colours of cloth 150mm x 150mm. The four colors, red, white, yellow and black represents all the races of the world (we are all related) Blue and red represent as above so below. This is a time to connect to the Great Spirit to pray for yourself and others. As we pray for our self and others and ask for the things we wish to change. We take a pinch of sacred tobacco and place it along with the intent into the centre of the cloth. We tie it into a bundle with a piece of string We will wear the bundles into the lodge and the bundles will be released to Great Spirit in the fire at the end of the ceremony.

The Opening
We honour the teaching of Grandfather Greywolf

Together with the participants we drum and chant.

The Procedure

We silently walk to the sacred lodge: you will need a water bottle, towel and torch

The Fire Keeper will smudge you with sage as you enter the ceremonial area. We always keep the area clear between the fire and the lodge entrance

We honour all our relations as we enter the Lodge

We enter clockwise around the inside of the Lodge

The Ceremony begins
